Grindstone Renovations is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team. In this role you will be reporting to the Director of Production. You will lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish.
This role involves coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring project timelines, and quality standards are met with precision. You will supervise our trade partners through various phases of construction, ensuring quality craftsmanship, safety and efficiency. You will be responsible to complete onsite carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
- Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Execute onsite carpentry tasks as required.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to identify, plan and carry out daily tasks on site.
- Responsible for creating an independent daily task list based on project needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Promote a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
- Provide clear communication and updates to clients when applicable.
Qualifications
- Carpentry and/or site supervising experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage quality control procedures.
- Strong critical thinking skills and interpersonal skills.
- Able to read and interpret detailed design drawings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (50-80 lbs) and complete physical work on site.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, reading plans and power tool safety.
- Expertise with hand tools and power tools.
- Background in residential construction is required.
- Background in commercial construction is considered an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a carpentry program is considered an asset.
