What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a Site Superintendent in the GTA who is hands-on, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple projects, trades, and stakeholders on-site.

As ZZ Con continues to grow, we are looking for a collaborative leader in the residential building field who wants to wear a toolbelt, takes pride in their work and knows how to run an efficient site.

The Role

We’re hiring a Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day residential construction operations on site. You will be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for keeping projects organized, trades moving, schedules on track, and workmanship up to standard.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced residential construction environment. The expectation of the role is to take ownership of a site, solve problems quickly, and drive projects forward without constant oversight.

Project Responsibilities include:

- Oversee day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, material deliveries and internal teams, maintaining clear communication with the Project Manager




- Regularly perform hands-on work to drive forward site objectives (ex: carpentry, general construction support)
- Maintain quality control across all phases of construction, from structural work through final finishes
- Keep detailed site logs, daily reports, photo documentation, and progress updates
- Work closely with Project Manager to communicate progress, scheduling issues, budget, and change orders
- Manage site access, security, and overall site readiness each day
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code and permit requirements
- Enforce site safety protocols and Ministry of Labour regulations

Qualifications & Expectations

- 5+ years of on-site construction & supervision experience
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (required)
- Strong carpentry skills
- Experience in residential new builds and renovations
- Experience working on fast-paced residential projects in Toronto is an asset
- Solid knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, inspections, and permitting processes
- Comfortable reading permitted plans, architectural, structural and mechanical drawings & relevant construction documents
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on site experience is required; post-secondary construction education is an asset
- Knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- First Aid, Working at Heights, WHMIS
