We are looking for an experienced Sloped Roofing Manager to join our team and take a leadership role in managing and growing our sloped roofing department.

The Opportunity

As the Sloped Roofing Manager, you will have significant responsibility for the overall performance and growth of the department. This role combines sales, estimating, operations, team leadership, customer relationships, and financial management.

You will identify and develop new opportunities, manage incoming leads, prepare accurate estimates and proposals, and build strong relationships with customers and industry partners. You will also oversee field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and project execution to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You will play an active role in developing and managing departmental sales, labour, and overhead budgets, while working closely with company leadership to achieve overall business objectives.

This is a position with significant autonomy and decision-making authority. You will be trusted to lead your department while having consistent support, collaboration, and oversight from the broader management team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

- Manage and develop incoming leads and consistently build a strong sales pipeline.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry relationships, and other business development activities.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, professional estimates and proposals in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, general contractors, property managers, building owners, consultants, suppliers, and other industry partners.
- Attend sales, pre-construction, and industry meetings to represent RD Roof Systems and help develop new opportunities.




- Attend industry events and actively expand your professional network within the Okanagan.

Operations & Project Management

- Oversee roofing operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and health and safety policies.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure required resources are available and barriers to successful project execution are addressed.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and advise on schedules, logistics, materials, manpower, and other project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and communicate issues, changes, and delays to management, clients, and project teams in a timely manner.
- Help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

Team Leadership

- Lead, manage, and support office and field staff in their day-to-day activities.
- Oversee the ongoing development and performance of your team, including employees and subcontractors.
- Provide direction, accountability, and support to help the team consistently achieve departmental goals.
- Help recruit, train, and develop team members as the department grows.
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.

Financial & Department Management

- Participate in the development and management of departmental sales and overhead budgets.
- Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Make sound business decisions that support both customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Work with company leadership to establish and achieve departmental goals.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:

- 3+ years of experience in sloped roofing
- Strong technical knowledge of sloped roofing systems and installation practices
- Strong understanding of roofing labour, materials,



equipment, and installation requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A professional and confident approach when dealing with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and team members
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while collaborating effectively with a team
- A valid driver's licence

Experience That Would Be an Asset

- Roofing or construction estimating experience
- Construction management experience
- Project management experience
- Experience with roofing estimating software
- Experience working with homeowners, general contractors, property managers, building owners, or consultants
- Existing relationships within the Okanagan construction and roofing industry
- Experience managing budgets, labour, and departmental financial performance
