About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer specializing in iOS development to join our dynamic technology team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of major components and platform needs within our mobile ecosystem. You will work closely with senior engineers and architects to ensure the successful implementation of innovative solutions that enhance our mobile banking applications.

This role offers an exciting prospect to influence the technical direction of our iOS applications, contribute to best practices, and mentor junior team members. As part of our agile environment, you will participate throughout the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code that aligns with our strategic objectives. Your expertise will help us deliver seamless, secure, and user-friendly mobile experiences to millions of customers across Canada.





Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess at least six years of hands-on experience developing Native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI. You should have a strong background in application design, technical architecture, and full-cycle development.

Experience leading and mentoring junior and intermediate developers, as well as providing guidance to both technical and business stakeholders, is essential. A bachelor's, master's, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields is preferred. Candidates with more than eight years of experience in leading end-to-end software development projects, exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, and familiarity with open source frameworks will be highly regarded.

Proven experience working within agile teams and a solid understanding of modern development tools and practices are also required.

Responsibilities

- Own and lead the delivery of major iOS components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects, ensuring alignment with technical standards and business goals.
- Work as an integral part of the mobile development team throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and support.
- Enhance and improve software engineering practices within the team by designing, developing, testing, and supporting technical solutions using a variety of development tools and technologies.
- Stay informed on evolving technology trends and assess their impact on our domain,



integrating innovative solutions to improve our mobile offerings.
- Mentor and guide junior, intermediate, and senior mobile developers, fostering a team-oriented and knowledge-sharing environment.
