Description

The Staff Nurse is a professional Registered Nurse (RN) who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of protected, effective, quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. The Staff Nurse also provides leadership and supervision of unit and employees. This person works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team. The Staff Nurse reports to the Charge / Head Nurse and/or Clinical Care Coordinator, assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position, and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Nursing Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day,



walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours a day. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis. Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body fluids.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have successfully completed an approved Nursing Program and passed the RN NCLEX exam. Holds a current VI RN license.

Position Factors

Salary is based on Bargaining Pay Plan.
