Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Operate and oversee CCTV surveillance systems to observe activity across various areas of the property
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identities and authorizations of visitors, contractors, and employees
- Detect and respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including potential theft or vandalism
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to address security concerns
- Perform loss prevention measures by observing customer behavior and preventing theft or damage
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable
- Familiarity with surveillance technology, including CCTV systems and monitoring software
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and best practices in security operations
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with emergency responders or management
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during long periods of stationary duty in various weather conditions
