The Students’ Association of Red Deer Polytechnic exists as per the Post-Secondary Learning Act (see Student Affairs section 93: Students association) and plays an significant role in student life at Red Deer Polytechnic. It advocates for and represents students, provides a myriad of important (and fun!) services and events, and is one of the largest employers of students on campus.

What you will be doing:

Support the planning, promotion, implementation, and evaluation of all Association events, and initiatives, including but not limited to awareness campaigns, educational events, social events, programs, services, and elections. Responsible for monitoring and closing The Loft, as scheduled.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Spread SA awareness through word-of-mouth marketing techniques
- Encourage students to support events and utilize current programs and services
- Attend and host relevant events
- Set up, take down of event materials
- Distribute SA marketing materials
- Provide support to staff during the Students' Association Elections




- Conduct on-campus surveys
- Manage the reception desk in the Loft

What will the right person look like? The ideal candidate for this position is a student at Red Deer Polytechnic who is outgoing, creative, and organized. You are comfortable approaching students and are willing to learn. We are small but mighty team, who is looking for a team player who is willing to learn and think outside of the box.

Your experience includes:

- 1-2 years of post-secondary education
- Experience in events and promotion

- 10-15 hours per week
- $16.00/hour
- Monday - Friday
- Some early mornings and evenings REQUIRED
