About the role

As a Student Advisor you work one to one with students over Zoom or by phone, guiding them through their post-secondary applications and helping them build the habits that carry them through it.

What you will do

- Guide students through deadlines, application decisions and program options
- Break down complex admissions requirements and simplify decision making
- Help students set goals, plan backwards and stay accountable
- Build students' confidence and help them develop long term success skills
- Use our platform and internal tools to track student progress
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver a consistent student experience
- Keep current on programs, scholarships and admissions strategy

Schedule and location This is a part-time, fully remote role open to candidates across Canada. Our Vancouver, BC office is available to anyone who prefers to work on site, but no on-site work is required.

Sessions are booked with students in advance,



so we ask for consistency and a minimum one year commitment to the students you take on. Within that, we are adaptable about your schedule and availability.

Pay

CA$20.00 to CA$27.00 per hour, depending on experience. You are paid per session, and this range is the effective hourly rate for that work. Performance based bonuses tied to student results are paid on top of the hourly range.

What we are looking for

- A Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with the Canadian post-secondary system and the admissions process, whether as an admissions officer, an advisor, a graduate student or through comparable experience
- Genuine enjoyment of working directly with students and helping them get results
- A track record of achievement in academics, work or leadership
- Comfort working to a structured schedule with clear expectations

- Strong written and verbal communication and a problem solving mindset

This role suits someone completing a master's or PhD, someone looking for additional income alongside full-time work, or anyone who wants flexibility in how they work. Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
