Depending on the position, successful candidates may work directly with prospective and current students, support college and university admissions, manage student leads, assist with recruitment initiatives, participate in marketing and outreach campaigns, and help grow Skill

Student Advisor / Education Consultant

Student Advisors / Education Consultants work directly with prospective and current students to help them understand their educational options and support them throughout the college and university admissions process.

Marketing Opportunities

Marketing team members support the growth, visibility, lead generation, and student recruitment initiatives of Skill Fund Consultancy Inc.

Depending on experience and the specific position, responsibilities may include:

- Digital marketing

Student Advisor / Education Consultant Responsibilities

- Counsel students on educational pathways, programs, course options, and suitable institutions based on their academic background, interests, and career goals.
- Assist students with applications to public and private colleges and universities.
- Support students with application documentation, preparation, and submission processes.
- Provide accurate and up to date information regarding admission requirements, documentation, program eligibility, and application deadlines.




- Maintain regular communication with prospective and current students to track application status and progress.
- Follow up with students regarding outstanding documents, admission decisions, deadlines, and next steps.
- Respond professionally to student inquiries by telephone, email, online meetings, and other communication platforms.
- Manage prospective student leads from initial inquiry through application and enrolment.
- Conduct timely follow ups with prospective students and maintain solid relationships throughout the enrolment process.
- Participate in marketing, outreach, lead generation, and student recruitment initiatives.
- Assist with social media and promotional initiatives when required.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow ups, application statuses, leads, and outcomes.
- Use tracking systems to maintain organized student records.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure students receive accurate and timely assistance.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling student information and documentation.

- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.

Language Preference

- Strong English communication skills are required.
- French language proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual English/French candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with French language proficiency may be considered for additional responsibilities involving French speaking students, clients, communities, or marketing initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications The following experience would be considered an asset:

- Previous experience as a Student Advisor, Education Consultant, Admissions Advisor, Enrolment Advisor, Student Recruiter, Educational Counsellor, Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Assistant, Digital Marketer, or similar position.
- Experience with Canadian college or university admissions.
- Digital marketing or social media marketing experience.
- Lead generation experience.
- Business development or sales experience.
- Experience creating or managing marketing campaigns.
- Experience working with multicultural or multilingual communities.
- Proficiency in French.
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Communications, Administration, or a related field.
