Solution and Colonial Central Support: As a member of the team, you will be a go-to resource for students—welcoming visitors, answering questions, connecting students with the right resources, coordinating appointments, entering work orders, and helping offices work together to resolve questions and requests. This is a great prospect to develop valuable customer service, communication, problem-solving, organization, and professional office skills while gaining a broader understanding of how the university operates.

Responsibilities

- Welcome and assist students, families, employees, and visitors with a friendly and professional approach.
- Serve as a central point of contact and connect students with the appropriate university office or staff member.
- Help students navigate questions related to student success, financial aid, registration, ID card, and student financial services.
- Professionally answers Colonial Central Customer Service telephone. Responds to general information inquiries and transfers calls to appropriate internal departments.
- Collects comprehensive information for Colonial Central service requests by telephone and email, providing data entry into the work order system. Dispatch maintenance staff as required to expedite workflow or queue service requests for supervisor assignment.
- Schedule student and staff appointments using university scheduling tools.
- Assist with service requests, data entry, work orders, and other administrative tasks.
- Communicate important information and announcements to university offices.
- Work collaboratively with departments across campus to help provide excellent student service.




- Learn about university resources and services so you can better assist students.
- Support Solution Central and Colonial Central with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Reliable undergraduate student with excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Google email and apps.
- This is more than a front-desk job. You’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in the student experience, build professional skills, work with departments across campus, and become a knowledgeable resource for the RMU community.

Academic Years Preferred: Freshman Year or Greater Wage: $12.00
