We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Substitute Culinary Instructor to join our educational team! As a Substitute Culinary Instructor, you will bring energy, creativity, and professionalism to the classroom, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment for all students.

Duties

- Lead hands-on cooking classes , demonstrating proper techniques and safety procedures
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards to facilitate engaging culinary activities
- Supervise students during cooking exercises, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene protocols
- Provide clear instructions and support to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom workplace, including cleaning utensils and workstations after each session
- Communicate effectively with students,



parents, and staff regarding class progress and student needs
- Adapt lessons as needed to accommodate different learning styles or classroom situations

Skills

- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring, especially with children or in early childhood education settings
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage young learners
- Ability to communicate instructions clearly and foster a positive learning environment
- Experience working with children’s developmental needs and creating age-appropriate activities
- Flexibility to adapt lessons based on student progress or unforeseen circumstances
- Passion for culinary arts combined with a lively, energetic approach to teaching
- Red seal preferred but not necessary

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
