Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi including rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty items with precision and artistry
- Follow established recipes and food safety protocols to ensure consistent quality and hygiene standards
- Handle food ingredients safely, including proper storage, sanitation, and portioning
- Assist in meal preparation and kitchen organization to maintain an efficient workflow
- Serve customers with friendly professionalism while explaining menu options when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health regulations
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple orders quickly and accurately
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of sushi-making techniques, food handling, and safety standards is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with serving customers and providing excellent food service experience
- Kitchen experience involving meal preparation, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to high-quality food presentation
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work collaboratively as part of a team
