Tax Manager | $120,000–$150,000 | Toronto (Hybrid)

The strange thing about becoming a Tax Manager is that you can end up spending more time managing deadlines than actually advising clients.

This opportunity is rather different. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of privately owned businesses, individuals, trusts and investment structures, working directly with Partners and clients across tax compliance, planning and advisory work. You’ll also get involved in more complex tax matters, while reviewing files and developing junior staff.

What they’re looking for:

- CPA designation
- 6+ years of Canadian public accounting experience
- Strong Canadian corporate, personal and trust tax experience
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing T1, T2 and T3 returns
- Exposure to additional filings such as T4s, T5s, T5013 partnership returns, T1134s, T1135s and NR4s




- Experience with GST/HST returns and other indirect tax filings would be an asset
- Exposure to estate, trust and final returns would be beneficial
- Experience with tax planning, corporate reorganizations, rollovers, elections and other complex tax matters
- Robust client management and file review skills
- Experience mentoring and developing junior staff
- Completion or progress towards the CPA In-Depth Tax Program would be an asset
