Position Title: Teacher On-Call (TOC)
Regent Christian Academy Society serves children and families across our campus schools, online school, and early learning programs. Christian Academy (RCA)
is our flagship campus-based school, serving the community through our Sullivan and Cloverdale campuses in Surrey, BC. We bring the RCAS mission to life through a vibrant, in-person learning community where students from Preschool through Grade 12 engage in rigorous academics,
competitive athletics, and the fine arts. At RCA, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where classroom excellence and spiritual mentorship prepare students to lead and serve with integrity.
Reports to: Principal
Overview: The Teacher On Call
(TOC) is expected to be professional, adaptable, and faith-driven educators to join our agile K-12 team. RCA has been a staple of the Surrey community since
1978, offering a Christ-centered, high-quality education on a beautiful 39-acre campus. With 720 students on-site and a robust Distributed Learning program serving 1,700 additional students, you will be joining a well-established and thriving educational community. While this position starts as On-Call,
we are actively looking for team members who may be interested in Part-Time or Full-Time placements for the next school year
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Continuity: Follow prepared lesson plans with excellence to ensure student learning continues in the teacher’s absence.
Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, nurturing, and orderly classroom environment.
Spiritual Mentorship: Model Christian integrity and provide spiritual leadership to students throughout the school day.
Adaptability: Quickly adjust to various grade levels (K-12) and subject areas as needed

Ability to model Christian integrity and provide spiritual mentorship to students in alignment with the RCAS Statement of Faith.
Adaptability: Capacity to transition quickly and effectively across different grade levels (K–12) and various subject areas on short notice.
Instructional Continuity: Skill in executing prepared lesson plans with excellence, ensuring a seamless learning experience in the teacher’s absence.
Classroom Management: Proactive ability to maintain a safe, nurturing, and orderly environment that promotes student focus and respect.
Professional Reliability: Demonstrates punctuality, clear communication, and a servant-hearted approach when collaborating with school staff.
Relational Agility: Adept at building immediate rapport with students and staff to foster a positive, Christ-centered school culture.

Growth Opportunity: While this role begins as On-Call, there is a clear pathway for successful candidates to transition into permanent Part-Time or Full-Time positions for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications To be considered for our TOC list, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to both educational excellence and Christian mentorship.
Certification: Valid British Columbia Teaching Certificate or equivalent. (Note:
Applicants eligible for a Letter of Permission may be considered for the non-certified rate).
Faith Alignment: Active involvement in an evangelical Christian church and a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
Agreement: Must affirm and work in alignment with the RCAS Statement of Faith and Community Standards
