Drive compliance and risk initiatives as the Team Lead, ARS Registration and Risk, at the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO). This hybrid role focuses on ARS standards and stakeholder engagement. As part of the External Compliance Monitoring – Alberta Reliability Standards team, you will leverage your expertise in risk frameworks and compliance oversight.

Your responsibilities encompass leading the Alberta Risk-Based Compliance Monitoring Program and enhancing technology solutions to support risk assessment and compliance processes. Relationship management and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders are vital to achieving regulatory alignment. Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the Alberta Risk-Based Compliance Monitoring Program (ARCMP)
- Develop compliance oversight plans and onboarding processes




- Monitor regulatory trends related to NERC and WECC compliance
- Conduct audits and assessments for compliance monitoring
- Support stakeholder engagement and training initiatives

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s in a related field; engineering or law degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years in electricity industry compliance roles
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proven project management and analytical skills
