Duties
- Install, rotate, balance, and repair tires using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation, ensuring optimal vehicle performance
- Perform wheel alignments and other basic automotive repairs as needed
- Use heavy lifting techniques to handle tires and wheels safely during service procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and properly dispose of old tires and materials in accordance with safety standards
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on tire equipment to ensure operational readiness
Skills
- Dealership experience or prior automotive repair background highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot tire-related issues effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and tire mounting equipment
- Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling tires and wheels of various sizes
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance procedures beyond tire service is a plus
- Sales aptitude to recommend appropriate tire products and maintenance packages confidently
