Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Tool & Die Finisher and play a vital role in bringing precision and craftsmanship to our production processes. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for finishing, repairing, and maintaining high-quality tools and dies used in manufacturing operations. Your expertise will ensure that our tooling meets strict specifications, enabling efficient and accurate production runs.

Responsibilities

- Finish and repair tools and dies using hand tools, welding equipment, and machining techniques to meet exact specifications.
- Use CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CAD programs to interpret schematics and technical drawings for precise finishing work.
- Operate CNC machinery including CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, and CNC programming tools to refine tooling components.
- Conduct inspections with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Assemble finished components accurately according to schematics and technical drawings, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Perform welding tasks as needed to repair or modify tooling parts, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.




- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including machining steps, measurements, and modifications for quality assurance purposes.

Experience

- Proven experience in tool and die finishing or a similar manufacturing role with hands-on machining skills.
- Robust mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, calipers, schematics, and math skills for precise measurements.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD programs used in tooling design and modification.
- Experience operating CNC equipment including CNC lathes and CNC milling machines; knowledge of CNC programming is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately to guide finishing processes.
- Knowledge of welding techniques relevant to tool repair or modification; experience with welding safety protocols is essential.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes related to machining, assembly, and quality control standards.
