About Savant Tours
Savant Tours is a new Toronto-based tour operator offering customized, Bespoke day tours to the Niagara Region and a walking tour in downtown Toronto. Our mission is to provide story-rich, seamless experiences that help visitors truly connect with destinations. We aim to offer groups and individual travelers stress-free, memorable, fun experiences.
Ideal Candidate
We are ramping up operations and are hiring Tour Directors to manage our Bespoke Experiences in the Niagara Region. We are seeking individuals who preferably have previous experience guiding, are confident speakers, are enthusiastic about helping and guiding travellers, are well-organized, are comfortable managing large groups, and are proficient with software systems. Most tours will depart and return to Toronto, so location will also be considered.
Manage group logistics: organize, check in, and manage passengers on private tours to the Niagara Region. Handle all ticket distribution and arrival logistics, and guide groups to sight entrances.
Manage fleet driver: Ensure routing software aligns with company standards, establish appropriate routes and locations for pick-up and drop-off, and direct and inform the driver of precise locations to slow down and pull over along the Niagara Parkway.
Manage local suppliers: Call ahead to ensure everything is in order for the group’s arrival and, when applicable, confirm that allergy lists have been received.
WhatsApp Group Chat: Add guests to it; communicate logistics, including pick-up and drop-off times and locations; share customized local maps; share Savant Tour’s Toronto Recommendations Map and Toronto Partnership Program for post-tour use.
Share Bilingual
Audio and Infographics for the Niagara Parkway experience.
Step-on Guide:
Lead and guide the group along the Niagara Parkway, slowing down and stopping at various sights, speaking via a microphone about each one. A sequential document with the locations and content will be provided.
Trip Closing Form: At the end of each tour, complete a Trip Closing Form to ensure that all suppliers have met product standards, identify areas to increase efficiencies and document certain scenarios.
Training Date: To be decided based on the candidate’s availability, as well as a Bespoke Day Tour Experience that visits a wide enough variety of sights where the candidate can be adequately trained across Niagara Region suppliers.
A sequential checklist will be provided for you to follow to ensure all software steps are understood and completed during training. Duncan will show you the way with the rest of the steps.
Included in hiring
- Paid Niagara Parks Guide License Test/License
- Paid Training Day

In terms of the ideal candidate and their availability, they have weekends and weekdays available, are passionate about tourism and guiding travelers, and are confident leading groups. The volume of work is still being established as we start out. It will be ongoing, and at your availability.
Previous experience guiding and leading groups is preferred, but not required.
You will be an employee, and not an independent contractor.
