Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Trade Finance Product Owner / Business Analyst (PO/BA) with strong knowledge of Trade Finance, Trade Services, and Banking products.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning product requirements, roadmap, backlog, and delivery while working closely with Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Product teams.

The candidate should have robust knowledge of Trade Finance products and processes, Agile methodologies, and banking systems, along with excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and delivery for Trade Finance products.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from key stakeholders.
- Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Drive enhancements across:
- Letters of Credit
- Import/Export Finance
- Guarantees
- Documentary Collections
- Supply Chain Finance

- Partner with Technology and Engineering teams to deliver digital transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Prioritize product features based on business value, client needs, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and maintain the product backlog.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including:

- Backlog Refinement
- Sprint Planning
- Sprint Demos
- Stakeholder Reviews

- Collaborate with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales, and Product teams.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digitization, process optimization, and improved client experience.
- Support product testing, implementation, rollout, and post-production enhancements.




- Act as a Trade Finance SME and provide guidance to technology and delivery teams.
- Ensure product requirements align with applicable trade finance rules, regulations, and banking standards.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of overall professional experience.
- Strong experience in Trade Finance / Trade Services / Banking.
- Strong understanding of Trade Finance products and their end-to-end lifecycle.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Letters of Credit
- Guarantees
- Import/Export Finance
- Documentary Collections
- Supply Chain Finance

- Proven experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager.
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with JIRA, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog management.
- Strong understanding of Trade Finance workflows, banking systems, and digital transformation.
- Experience working with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams.
- Strong knowledge of trade finance rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of other applicable ICC Trade Rules.
- Experience with large-scale banking transformation initiatives.
- Secure certification or experience working within SAFe environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a senior Trade Finance Product Owner / Business Analyst with extensive banking and Trade Finance experience. The candidate should be able to bridge the gap between business and technology teams, translate complex Trade Finance requirements into actionable user stories, and drive product delivery through Agile methodologies. Strong knowledge of Trade Finance products, regulations, digital transformation, and stakeholder management will be highly valuable for this role.
