Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Traffic Control Person to ensure the safety of construction sites and roadways. This role involves directing traffic, maintaining safety protocols, and assisting with construction activities to facilitate smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in dynamic outdoor environments.

Prior experience with heavy equipment operation, paving, or construction is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signs, and flagging equipment.
- Communicate effectively with construction teams, motorists, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions.
- Monitor work zones continuously for safety hazards or violations and report issues promptly.
- Assist with the movement of materials or equipment as needed within the construction site.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for team members and the public.

Requirements





- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Minimum 1 Year experience.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Good communication skills for clear instructions and coordination.
- Prior experience with heavy equipment operation, paving, or construction is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks as required.
- Valid certification or training in traffic control procedures is preferred but can be provided if necessary. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to public safety during construction projects while gaining valuable industry experience.

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
