We are looking for a Software QA Test Technician to support software testing, troubleshooting, defect analysis, and documentation within an engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform software testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Test PC/software prototypes and identify defects or failures.
- Debug and document software issues and test results.
- Maintain test records, configurations, and engineering documentation.
- Support engineers with defect reproduction and problem resolution.
- Review and validate software changes and upgrades.
- Follow Agile processes and QA best practices.
- Support software release activities.
Requirements
- AEC/DEC in Computer Science, Systems, or equivalent experience.
- PC technician / PC testing experience strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE).
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
- Experience with PC architecture and test management tools.
- Knowledge of Python, Visual Studio, MS Word, and Excel is an asset.
- Robust English communication skills.
- Ability to work fully onsite in Saint-Laurent, QC.
