Our client, a well-established and locally focused travel agency, is looking for a Senior Leisure Travel Consultant to join its Arnprior office. This is a wonderful chance for someone who loves building client relationships and creating customized vacations, cruises, tours and complex itineraries.
What you’ll be doing:
- Consulting with clients in person, by phone and online
- Designing personalized itineraries based on clients’ interests and budgets
- Booking flights, accommodations, cruises, tours and car rentals
- Preparing quotes and managing reservations, changes and cancellations
- Providing exceptional support before, during and after travel
- Staying current on destinations,
promotions and industry trends
- Developing strong relationships with clients and travel suppliers
What we’re looking for:
- Previous leisure travel experience within a travel agency or tour operator
- Strong destination and travel-product knowledge
- Experience creating customized itineraries and packaged vacations
- Proficiency with a GDS and common reservation platforms
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, organization and attention to detail
- A travel or tourism diploma or certification is an asset
