Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing client communications, and supporting the daily operations of our animal healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and experience or interest in laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and departure
- Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and manage client inquiries efficiently
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Process payments and handle billing procedures accurately
- Assist with laboratory tasks as needed, utilizing laboratory experience to support diagnostic processes




- Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and visitors
- Support veterinary team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations

Qualifications

- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred
- Laboratory experience is a valuable asset for supporting diagnostic procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced workplace
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in veterinary assisting is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.50-$22.50 per hour
