Position Overview:
The VP of AI Transformation will champion and drive the integration of Artificial Intelligence across all portfolio businesses within Omegro. This role combines strategic influence with portfolio-wide capability development to accelerate adoption, deliver measurable ROI, and build internal capabilities at a rapid pace. The ideal candidate will be both a visionary and a practitioner - able to inspire leadership and teams while rolling up their sleeves to support the teams to implement AI-first solutions.
They will be responsible for delivering Omegro’s most challenging and ambitious AI projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Governance
- Execute a portfolio-wide AI strategy and adoption roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure AI investments deliver material returns, improve customer outcomes, and increase M&A; effectiveness.
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical AI use, data privacy, and compliance.
- Develop and track KPIs and dashboards to monitor AI adoption, application, and ROI.
Technical Enablement
- Design and implement AI solutions that deliver a meaningful return for Omegro.
- Provide technical guidance on AI tools, platforms, and integration strategies.
- Collaborate with product teams to uncover and embed AI features into software offerings.
- Identify, codify and scale best practices, processes and domain expertise across our businesses.
- Develop reusable technology, data, and AI capabilities that accelerate delivery and reduce duplication.
EAM (Enterprise Asset Management)
Collective Intelligence
- Define and lead the strategy for capturing and applying collective EAM intelligence across Omegro.
- Build shared sector data assets that enable insight, innovation and AI-enabled solutions.
- Establish the governance and collaboration models needed to create sustained value from shared portfolio intelligence.
Training & Capability Building
- Create tailored training programs for technical and non-technical staff.
- Mentor internal AI champions within each business unit.
- Develop AI playbooks with best practices, templates, and success stories.
- Develop and maintain an AI onboarding program for new staff and business.
ROI Measurement & Reporting
- Identify high-impact use cases and prioritize based on potential ROI.
- Track and report on business outcomes from AI initiatives (revenue growth, cost savings, efficiency gains).
- Present regular adoption and performance reports to portfolio leadership.
Leadership
- Lead the Omegro AI Center of Excellence, consisting of a team of highly capable AI practitioners, engineers, and consultants.
- Invest in the capability, careers, and effectiveness of team members.
- Own talent and career development processes for the team.
Thought Leadership & Change Management
- Be the authority on AI trends and how they will influence our businesses.
- Ensure Omegro is at the forefront of AI-first practices across all facets of our organizations.
- Serve as the primary advocate for AI adoption across Omegro.
- Be the catalyst for sharing knowledge and solutions across Omegro’s businesses.
- Influence senior leadership and operational teams to prioritize AI initiatives.
Required skills and experience:
- Business savvy change agent with a track record of riding mega trends.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to drive change through influence rather than positional power.
- Solid background in AI/ML (model development, deployment, integration), data engineering, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to link AI initiatives to tangible business outcomes.
- Proven experience driving technology adoption across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Track record of uncovering and delivering material value to customers.
- Familiarity with SaaS business models is highly desirable.
Requirements
- The role can be performed via hybrid or remote in Toronto (or greater surrounding area) requiring you to have the right to work, and additionally the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
