Our client is a growing global fund administration organization that provides operational, accounting, and administrative solutions to alternative investment managers across a range of asset classes. With an expanding international presence and continued investment in its Canadian operations, the firm is establishing a current downtown Toronto office and offers an exciting opportunity to join during a significant period of growth and transformation.

This is a unique chance to play a key leadership role in helping build a new office while contributing to the evolution of a highly scalable and client-focused operating platform.

Your Recent Role

As Vice President, Portfolio Accounting, you will be a senior operational leader responsible for the performance, scalability, and continued development of the Portfolio Accounting function. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Accounting, you will oversee global Portfolio Accounting Contact and Reviewer teams while helping drive strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence, service quality, and organizational growth.

You will be responsible for ensuring the right people, processes, and controls are in place to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes while supporting business expansion. This role combines operational leadership, client engagement, team development, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading global Portfolio Accounting Contact and Reviewer teams, ensuring accountability,



consistency, and service excellence.
- Building organizational capability, leadership succession plans, and scalable team structures.
- Driving improvements in quality, productivity, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Overseeing review frameworks and quality standards to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Acting as a senior point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing escalations and strengthening relationships.
- Supporting the development of scalable operating models, standardized processes, and governance frameworks.
- Utilizing operational metrics and data to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
- Coaching, developing, and mentoring managers and team members to build a high-performing culture.

What You'll Need to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A CPA, CA, CFA, or similar designation is considered an asset.
- 10+ years of experience within financial services, fund administration, asset management, or a related investment operations environment.
- Strong experience in portfolio, fund, or investment accounting.




- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience leading operational teams.
- Deep understanding of portfolio accounting processes, including trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, corporate actions, security setup, market data, and financial instruments.
- A proven track record of improving service delivery, operational performance, quality, and scalability.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience using operational metrics to drive decisions.
- The ability to balance client, employee, and business priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Get in Return

- Base salary of $155,000 - $175,000
- 10% target annual bonus with opportunity to exceed target based on performance
