Join the City of Thunder Bay as a Child Care Educator, where you'll create impactful learning experiences for children in our Child Care Centre. Focus on child-centric programs and development.

In this role, report to the Program Supervisor while you plan and execute activities tailored to children's developmental needs. A diploma in early childhood education or an equivalent qualification is essential. You'll also ensure the Centre is organized and supplies are managed efficiently, all while collaborating with staff and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in routine and planned activities for children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programs
- Maintain an organized, equipped Child Care Centre
- Attend staff and parent meetings and special events
- Assist in training new staff and students

Requirements:

- Diploma in early childhood education or equivalent
- Understanding of the Ontario Child Care and Early Years Act
- Robust communication skills, both written and verbal
- First Aid Certification and Safe Food Handling Certification
- Must pass Police Vulnerable Sector Check
