Volleyball Calgary is seeking passionate and energetic Volleyball Coaches & Instructors to join our growing team!
You’ll work with athletes aged 8–17 in a fun, inclusive, and developmentally focused environment.
We’re looking for motivated individuals to coach in both our training programs and club teams, helping young athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a lifelong love for volleyball.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging volleyball practices and skill-development sessions
- Teach foundational techniques: serving, passing, setting, attacking, and movement
- Create a positive and inclusive environment focused on growth and enjoyment
- Communicate regularly with parents and program staff about athlete progress and behavior
- Ensure athlete safety and promote teamwork, respect, and effort
- Develop and implement age-appropriate practice plans
- Uphold Volleyball Calgary’s values of Respect, Integrity, Effort, and Teamwork
Requirements:
- Previous experience coaching, instructing, or working with youth
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and athlete development principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, patient, and encouraging coaching style
- Ability to lead small groups independently and confidently
- Must pass a Police Information Check – Vulnerable Sector (required by Alberta youth sport regulations)
Additional Assets (Not Required, But a Plus):
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Background in education, child development, or physical education
- Experience playing or coaching in club or school volleyball
