Wesley Industrial Machine Shop Ltd. is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting in the accurate receiving, inventory control, storing, and distribution of parts and materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment. With their commitment to safety, organization, and efficiency, the Warehouse Associate will play a key role in supporting operations and enhancing Wesley Industrial Machine Shop’s skilled image.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and according to company standards
- Assist customers at the warehouse counter by greeting, helping locate parts/products, and ensuring friendly, efficient service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, including workstations, aisles, and storage areas
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including checking in shipments, verifying quantities, inspecting goods, and processing deliveries
- Handle incoming and outgoing orders, including picking, packing, labeling, staging, and preparing products for delivery or pickup
- Maintain accurate inventory records, assist with cycle counts, and ensure proper product storage and labeling
- Assist with warehouse logistics, including organizing stock locations, tracking inventory levels, and reporting shortages
- Demonstrate safe handling and operations of warehouse tools and equipment
- Perform physical work such as lifting, sorting, moving materials, and loading/unloading trucks
- Provide support to the Warehouse & Logistics team with day-to-day tasks and customer needs
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, company policies, and operational procedures
- Other warehouse duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:
- Safety-conscious attitude and consistent adherence to safety standards
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Experience with Business Vision or similar inventory systems is an asset
- Forklift license or prior forklift experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, and lift throughout the day
- Ability to use hands to operate warehouse equipment and tools
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally more with assistance
- Ability to reach above and below waist level
- Close vision and color vision required for identifying products and labels
