Warehouse Team Lead

Duties and Responsibilities The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all warehouse-related functions. This role focuses on team training and support, task planning and assignment, logistics coordination, inventory management, procurement, safety compliance, and customer service. The Warehouse Operations Manager ensures efficient warehouse operations and drives continuous improvement in processes and service delivery.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Overseeing daily warehouse operations of a team of associates, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Managing inventory by maintaining accurate stock levels, inspecting inventory, and organizing the warehouse for optimal efficiency.
- Liaison with Order Desk, including vendor relations for ordering goods.
- Ensuring that products received from vendors are verified against invoices or bills of lading (BOL), maintaining temperature and shipping logs, and adding the products to inventory.
- Gathering orders from Order Desk and informing warehouse associates to build pallets according to company requirements.
- Checking outgoing orders against invoices to ensure the correct products are shipped to stores.
- Coordinating transportation logistics for timely and cost-effective delivery of products from vendors to the warehouse and from the warehouse to stores, based on orders.
- Planning and assigning tasks to warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
- Managing the CHEP program.
- Conducting onboarding and job-specific training for new staff to ensure adherence to warehouse procedures and performance consistency.




- Implementing and enforcing safety standards and maintaining warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Supervising property maintenance and coordinating with vendors for repairs as necessary.
- Addressing customer and stakeholder inquiries or complaints and building robust relationships with vendors and internal teams.
- Analyzing sales data and creating strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and align warehouse operations with company goals.
- Help where necessary to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements: The successful candidate should be a dedicated and proactive professional who possesses the following:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Effective team development and coaching abilities.
- Analytical skills to solve problems efficiently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
