We are seeking an experienced Welding / Fitting Technician to perform welding, fitting, fabrication, and assembly of metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on welding skills, blueprint-reading ability, and experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding as required.
- Fit, align, assemble, and weld metal components and structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, grind, drill, and prepare materials for fabrication.
- Set up welding machines and select appropriate welding parameters.
- Use grinders, saws, drills, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality, dimensions, and workmanship.
- Identify and correct fitting or welding defects.
- Perform tack welding and final welding of fabricated components.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and dimensions before welding.




- Follow production schedules and complete work within required timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other fabrication and assembly duties as required.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Welder, Fitter, Welding Technician, or Fabricator.
- Strong MIG welding and fitting experience required.
- TIG and Stick welding experience considered an asset.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of welding symbols, measurements, and fabrication techniques.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Ability to use measuring equipment such as tape measures, squares, and calipers.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding certification is considered an asset.
