We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Representative to join our client's growing team in Western Canada. This individual will play a key role in expanding market share, growing existing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across the steel pipe, piling, foundation, and energy sectors.

This is a full-time, permanent net new vacancy offering significant earning potential through a highly competitive base salary and commission structure. The successful candidate will inherit an established book of business while also having the opportunity to develop current accounts and drive strategic growth throughout the region.

The ideal candidate will bring strong steel industry expertise, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to build long-term relationships with contractors, fabricators, industrial clients, and energy-sector customers.

Work Environment & Schedule:

- Hybrid and flexible work arrangement.
- Preference for candidates able to commute to South of Edmonton on a hybrid basis.
- Standard business hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Results-driven environment with flexibility to manage your schedule.
- Candidates are expected to spend regular time in the office and yard environment to maintain a strong understanding of inventory, operations, and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and grow an established customer base throughout Western Canada.
- Sell existing steel pipe, piling, foundation, and energy-related inventory.
- Develop new business opportunities and expand underutilized accounts.
- Reclaim lost market share and identify new revenue-generating opportunities.
- Build relationships with foundation contractors, piling contractors, fabricators,



industrial customers, and energy-sector clients.
- Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and industry insights.
- Recommend alternative products and solutions to support customer projects.
- Identify inventory opportunities and suggest new products, grades, or market segments.
- Partner closely with internal operations and inventory teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience within the steel industry.
- Proven sales experience in steel, pipe, piling, foundation products, or a related industrial sector.
- Strong track record of developing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Experience growing existing accounts while generating new business opportunities.
- Knowledge of key competitors, products, and market dynamics within the steel industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:

- Experience with Microsoft Business Central.
- ERP implementation or optimization experience.
- Strong Microsoft 365 proficiency.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify creative solutions and alternative product offerings.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Base salary ranging from $120,000 - $195,000 , depending on experience and industry expertise.
- Plus commission.
- Comprehensive benefits package.

Approximately 70% of the role will focus on managing and growing existing customer relationships , while 30% will be dedicated to identifying and developing new business opportunities.
