Job Title: Wiring Assembler The Wiring Assembler will be part of a team responsible for assembling industrial control panels for data centres and oil and gas units. This role involves using electrical schematics to install electrical components, crimping wires, wiring units, and testing panels. The successful candidate will use hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices to complete these tasks.

Responsibilities

Assemble industrial control panels using electrical schematics. Install electrical components and perform crimping and wiring of units. Test panels to ensure functionality. Use hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and lifting devices efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Lay out panels and mount devices accurately. Perform electrical wiring, including electrical circuits. Document work using computer software such as Microsoft Office.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.

Minimum of 2 years experience in wiring assembly.

Experience in mechanical assembly and electrical assembly. Ability to read a tape measure in both standard and metric. Efficient use of hand and power tools.

Experience in a manufacturing setting with at least 1 year on the floor.

Experience with switchgear, breaker assembly, and custom builds.

Skills &

Qualifications Background in working with oil construction companies or similar industries. Forklift, overhead crane, and picker truck experience is an asset.

Experience with companies like Eaton, Siemens, Schneider, Saber, SKF is beneficial.

Work Environment

Work in a new building's main shop. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a half-hour unpaid lunch. Be open to afternoon shifts from Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with a $2 premium. Initial training is 4 to 8 weeks on day shifts. Safety equipment such as CSA-approved boots, safety glasses, and gloves are required.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
