The Yard Labourer maintains the yard and warehouse. They load, unload, and store materials by hand and using a variety of equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks, etc. They also greet and serve customers and should be familiar with products, prices, and returns policies. The Yard Person must perform all tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to support branch efficiency and a high level of customer service.

· Adhere to all safety rules and requirements.

· Wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per company policy.

· Communicate professionally with internal staff and customers, and assist with loading and unloading materials

· Order Picking (sills, angle, masonry, ties etc.)

· Maintain housekeeping and cleanup of all machines and work areas.

· Maintain all tools and equipment ensuring they are clean, protected, and in working order

· Carry out Brick and Stone, and Landscape order breakdowns

· Interact respectfully, build relationships, and demonstrate a high level of cooperation.

· Maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy.





· Cutting/Rocking custom caps and slabs

· Re-skidding/stacking picked through and/or tumbled materials

· Labelling and pricing of products

· Perform the safe loading and unloading of trucks as needed

· Collect and sign all paperwork (BOL, Invoices etc.) and return to the shipping office

· Customer Service (assisting with loading of vehicles and locating products)

· Assist with material handling using forklifts and through manual labour.

· Follow instructions, maintain timelines and execute effective time management

· Adhere to all company policies & procedures

· Lift, slide, carry and lower items that weigh up to 50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs

· Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch and company success
