Overview

We are seeking a energetic and dedicated Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 heavy trucks for the transportation of freight across various routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems to ensure optimal performance
- ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle reliability
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff,



and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols during operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety guidelines

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related role
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to perform routine maintenance or troubleshoot minor issues
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy vehicle operation and freight handling
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and efficiency
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
