Role Description The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Vaughan, ON, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, and developing detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment.

The Estimator will solicit and analyze quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, assess project risks, and assist in value engineering and bid strategy. The role also involves project managing the project if success bid.

Qualifications





- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and other construction management tools.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, building codes, and industry standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
- Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in construction estimating or a similar role in the construction industry is an asset.
- Commitment to safety practices, ethical conduct, and continuous professional development.
