LaPrairie Works Inc. in Grimshaw, Alberta, is hiring a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to maintain our fleet of heavy-duty equipment. This hands-on role involves meticulous inspection, service, and repair within a team-focused workplace.

In this position, you will leverage your experience with on-road and off-road machinery to diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure all equipment meets safety standards. Ideal candidates will be adept at using advanced testing technologies and will be committed to quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect and service trucks and trailers routinely
- Diagnose issues using advanced technology




- Perform major repairs and maintenance as necessary
- Report faulty equipment to management promptly
- Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or documented apprenticeship
- Relevant experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
