Program: Youth Outreach
Position Status: 35 hrs/week, from June 22nd to August 28th
Compensation: $17/hr

About the Role:
Under the leadership and direction of the ProgramCoordinator, and in collaboration with program staff, the Program Assistantwill provide direct, hands-on support in the daily operations of programs andservices. This role focuses on assisting staff and clients in a variety oftasks, ensuring smooth delivery of services and program activities. The idealcandidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to assist with a rangeof service delivery tasks in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
In this role, you will:
- Greet and support clients during program visits,assisting with check-in, navigation, and basic inquiries.
- Provide guidance to appropriate staff, services, andresources as needed.
- Prepare client materials such as welcome packages,forms, and handouts.
- Offer support to ensure a welcoming, safe, accessible,and inclusive client experience.
- Support basic administrative tasks including dataentry, filing, and documentation.
- Assist with setup, organization, and cleanup ofworkshops, meetings, and community events.
- Prepare and maintain program supplies, materials, andspaces.
- Collect basic participant feedback to support programimprovement.
- Provide general operational support to ensure smoothprogram delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environmentfor clients and staff.
- Distribute program materials and support communityoutreach activities.
- Assist with client communication via phone, email, andsocial media.
- Support community events by sharing programinformation and encouraging participation.
- Remind clients of upcoming activities and supportonboarding of recent participants.
Education and Skills Qualifications:
- Experience working or volunteering in client-facingroles within community services, settlement, education, or social servicesettings
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to greet,support, and engage clients in a welcoming and respectful manner.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively withclients, staff, and community partners in both verbal and written forms.
- Basic administrative skills, including data entry,filing, documentation, and handling confidential information.
- Experience supporting events, workshops, or communityprograms, including setup, coordination, and cleanup.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and takedirection while also working independently when required.
- Familiarity with community resources and the abilityto guide clients to appropriate services is an asset.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Outlook) and comfort using email and social media platforms for communicationsupport.
- Ability to maintain a professional, inclusive, andwelcoming environment for diverse clients and community members.
- Flexibility to support evenings or weekends based onprogram needs.

- Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable SectorCheck, and Child Abuse Registry Check (less than 6 months old), if 18 years ofage or older
- Attend Child Safeguarding Training upon hire
