To properly process various species of seafood, ensuring maximum use and yield of product. Consistently maintain a high production pace in all areas of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
- Inspect, grade and sort fish.
- Operate forklifts & pallet jacks (in house training provided)
- Place product in containers or on conveyers.
- Communicate quality issues to supervisors and leads.
- Freeze, strip and palletize fish.
- Work on production lines.
- Sanitize work area and equipment.
- Place product in proper packaging as instructed.
- Adhere to all sanitation and product quality policies.
- Maintain plant safety at all times.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Experience is Fish and Seafood processing
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with food processing equipment
- Prior food safety experience
- Prior experience in a processing setting
Additional Qualifications
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Constantly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Working Conditions
- Wet and/or humid conditions and cold.
- Work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- The noise level is usually loud.
