Job Description

St. Mary's Catholic School in Taylor is looking for joyful and organized After School Care workers for our Program of After School Enrichment (PASE). PASE Assistants will plan for and supervise students after school, grouped into classes by age and interest. Classes are offered from 4‑5 PM and 5‑6 PM each day, Monday through Friday. PASE Assistants will report to work by 3–3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

- Prepare for students between the hours of 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm
- Supervise students (PK‑8) between 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm
- Supervise children for safety and appropriate behavior
- Assist with homework
- Assist with record keeping
- Require students to obey rules; use accepted discipline procedures
- Know all emergency procedures, including emergency phone numbers, building evacuation procedures, and student emergency health information
- Assist with maintenance of student and parent sign‑in/out
- Assist with proper use of equipment, grounds, and buildings
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or principal

Certifications & Training

- Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment, participate in a Protecting God's Children Awareness Session 4.0 within 30 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry, and maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment.

Employee Certification & Conduct

All employees must adhere to the Catholic Schools Standards of Conduct, the Diocese of Austin EIM policies, and the social, ethical, and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church as interpreted by the Bishop of Austin.
