Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for physicians who provide full scope Family Medicine, as well as Family Physicians with enhanced Surgical, Anesthesia, and Obstetric skills who are interested in rural medicine to join the Meadow Lake physician group at the Meadow Lake Primary Health Care Centre.We welcome new graduates to join us.We are a collegial group of 14 full-time equivalent (FTE) physicians who have the privilege of working alongside several Nurse Practitioner colleagues in a multidisciplinary, team-based care environment.We provide full scope family medicine, including itinerant clinic services in:Loon LakeGoodsoilWaterhen Lake First NationCanoe Lake Cree First NationGreen LakeMakwa Sahgaiehcan First NationMinistikwan Lake Cree First NationWe run a seven-day-per-week hospitalist inpatient service:Weekdays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PMWeekends: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PMThe clinic is a primary care clinic supported by Medical Office Assistants, Billing Clerks, RN Case Managers, Chronic Disease Educators, a Dietitian, Pharmacist, and Mental Health Therapist.Visiting itinerant services include:OBGYNOtolaryngologyOrthopedicsSurgeryWe are blessed with an engaged community and a generous Hospital Foundation. we are engaged in community-based medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate learners. We are a longitudinal integrated clerkship site and are one of the top three rural education sites in terms of total number of students and teaching hours provided.We are located 300 km northwest of Saskatoon and are the northern-most surgical obstetrics site in the province.
