Lead students in outdoor discovery and education as a Program Leader. This role lets you inspire youth while developing personal leadership and ensuring a collaborative learning experience.
As part of the Outdoor School Program, you’ll guide grade 4 and 6 students from October to May. Your responsibilities involve meal service facilitation, supervising various recreational activities, and mentoring student counsellors. A passion for nature and environmental education is key to creating positive and impactful experiences for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle meal service logistics, ensuring timely organization
• Supervise recreational activities like garden games and archery
• Facilitate enriching outdoor and environmental field studies
• Mentor and provide feedback to secondary school counsellors
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for students
Requirements:
• First Aid Certificate preferred or equivalent
• Background in working with youth in outdoor settings
• Solid leadership capabilities and enthusiasm
• Excellent communication and group management skills
• Willing to complete a criminal record check
