Rockport Commercial is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator with experience for our in-house excavation team. Work on internal projects, including commercial buildings, primarily in Manitoba.

As a key team member, you will operate heavy machinery such as excavators and have the ability to step in and help with construction tasks in office. The role includes the possibility of leading site operations when the Superintendent is absent. Moreover, you will enjoy a steady workload without winter layoffs, engaging in earthworks and snow clearing.

Key Responsibilities: • Operate rock trucks and skid steers for excavation tasks • Collaborate with a small crew and assist in various tasks • Lead the crew and manage site operations when necessary • Engage in winter earthworks and maintain operational readiness • Conduct pre-trip inspections and daily equipment maintenance

Requirements: • Experience in commercial or multi-family construction sites • Proficient in interpreting civil blueprints • Leadership aptitude for managing small teams • Clean Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s Licence preferred • Good driving record essential
