This role assists in providing a safe environment for aircraft, the travelling public and cargo at our 24-hour operation. This seasonal role is to maintain the airside/groundside area during the winter season. The terms will be in effect from which may be extended by mutual consent based on operational requirements.Responsibilities include:Removal of snow and ice from Airside bridge machinery, light fixtures, signage, pedestrian walkways and exits using a shovel,



snow blower and skid steersApplication of ice control products and gravel as appropriateOperation of snow blower and skid steer as requiredAssist with shop cleanup and vehicle maintenance tasksOperate airside vehicles within specified zonesPerform physical tasks including lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs., walking and standing for 70-80% of the workday, bending and stooping for 20-30% of workdayExposure to noise and vibration for 30-40% of the workday, and to environmental conditions such as snow, wind, rain, and cold temperatures for 50% of the workdaySelection Criteria include:Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalentValid Class 5 driver's license required (Class 3 with Air Brake endorsement is an asset) and clean driver's abstractAbility to obtain and maintain an Airport Vehicle Operator Permit "D/A" (AVOP)Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted radio/telephone licenseAbility to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)1-2 years' experience operating snow removal and ice control equipment considered an assetKnowledge or experience in airport operations is an assetStrong knowledge of safety practices and proceduresPhysically capable of manual labor including lifting up to 50 lbs.,
