Manitoba Ltd. (dba DAILY FOOD ORIENTAL SUPERMARKET) is seeking a Cashier to join their team. Winnipeg, MB.
Permanent, full time (30-40 hours per week),$16.50 per hour. Standard 6-8-hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 10am and 10pm as required.

Duties:

- Welcome customers and provide courteous service.
- Scan and enter merchandise using the point-of-sale system.
- Confirm product prices and calculate the total amount owing.
- Weigh fresh produce and bulk food items.
- Accept and process payments by cash, debit card, credit card, and other approved payment methods.
- Pack customers’ purchases into bags or suitable containers.
- Answer customer questions and provide information about products, prices, and store services.




- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift and reconcile payments against recorded sales.
- Replenish merchandise around the checkout area.
- Keep the checkout counter and surrounding work area clean and organized.

Requirements:

- Secondary school completion required;
- A minimum of one year of cashier experience is required;
- Chinese language ability is an asset;
- English language ability is required.
