Role Overview

Voyago is hiring Part‑Time School Bus Drivers for the 2026/2027 school year in Grey Bruce.

Responsibilities

- Safely transport students to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day.
- Prioritize student safety during boarding, transit, and exiting.
- Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assistance with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well‑kept, professional vehicle.
- Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the protected operation of the vehicle.
- Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations.
- Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.

Requirements

- Safety focused.
- Valid minimum full G class driver’s licence held for at least one year, or willing to obtain a B or E Class licence (training provided at no cost).
- Age 21 years or older.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening.
- Solid knowledge of Grey Bruce and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work independently.
- Available for the required shifts: Monday to Friday approximately 6:30 am to 9:30 am and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm (start and end times may vary by route).




- Strong communication skills.
- Enjoyable experience around children of all ages.
- Comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions.
- Comfortable driving large vehicles.

Schedule

3.5 hour minimum daily shift with opportunities for additional hours on charters.

Compensation & Benefits

- Competitive hourly pay of $21.65 per hour.
