Join Covenant House as an Offsite Custodian in a hybrid setting. Help maintain a clean and protected environment for youth with your meticulous cleaning skills.
This full-time, permanent position operates Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. You'll ensure cleanliness in common areas, offices, and washrooms while adhering to COVID regulations and using appropriate cleaning techniques. This role directly supports the mission of Covenant House to provide safe spaces for vulnerable youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize common areas and washrooms
• Maintain hygiene for kitchen and laundry facilities
• Dust and sanitize offices and shared spaces
• Fill out daily routine charts and work orders
• Water plants and report maintenance needs
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemicals
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and use stairs
• Familiarity with WHMIS and basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills in English
