This position is open to currently registered graduate students at the University of Regina. The student(s) will assist with a project exploring risk perceptions and public attitudes towards nuclear science, nuclear energy (and its lifecycle), climate change, and social learning.

- Research activities including (but not limited to) literature reviews, including legal and regulatory searches, health and low dose radiation, nuclear waste storage and transportation; public perceptions of these subject matters and social learning; development of research methodologies and participant recruitment; developing data collection instruments; survey design; qualitative interviewing; transcription; data analysis, and storyboarding interventions for social learning surrounding risk.
- Program administration activities including (but not limited to) scheduling meetings; engaging subject-matter experts, organizing focus groups and citizen juries, and community partners; providing administrative support.

Position Requirements Masters or PhD students. Familiarity with scoping reviews and internet-based research and literature reviews is essential, knowledge of survey, discrete choice experiments are an asset, as are strong writing skills. In addition to work experience, a knowledge of SPSS will be an asset.

Applicants are required to be a currently registered graduate student at the University of Regina.



Training and experience with NVivo and Qualtrics software is required. Training in qualitative and quantitative research methods ( SPSS ) is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Applicants with a research focus on nuclear energy, climate change risks, clean energy, public policy, citizen engagement.
