Job Duties

- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes
- Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
- Assist chefs in managing kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Maintain clean kitchen and work area
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions, and estimate food requirements and costs
- May hire and train kitchen staff

Job Requirements

- Experience: 2–3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required
