This role involves working at the Victoria Road, West End, and South End Community Centres ensuring safety regulations are adhered to during skating events. As a Skate Patrol, you will leverage your excellent skating ability and communication skills to enhance the skating experience while managing on-ice safety effectively. The position requires standing and skating in cold conditions, emphasizing the importance of commitment and active participation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor skating sessions and enforce safety rules
• Address on-ice incidents with professionalism
• Provide assistance to rink patrons and maintain decorum
• Ensure personal skating gear meets safety standards
• Stay active for extended periods while working in cold conditions
Requirements:
• Proficiency in skating and safe practices
• Strong verbal skills for addressing conflicts
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
• Completion of Police Record Check mandatory
• Must be 16 or older
