Rate: $18.50/hr

How You'll Perform the Role

Remove slit rolls from the slitter and move to the up-ender

Assist the lead slitter operator with the setup of new orders and rework

Manage the cleaning of cast rolls during the line shutdown

Remove purge away from under the Die during purging process

Assist the lead operator in PM tasks at shift end

Assist lead and second operator during the line start up, roll cleaning (deckle change), and with cleaning tasks during color changes

Cut and prepare the cores for as per the production schedule

Strap plastic waste and make ready for removal by the material handler

Prepare new skids

Collapse the empty boxes for shipping

Assist with emergency conditions on the Extrusion Line(s) such as web breaks and starting the line as directed by the Shift SupervisorOperate Slitter machine independently, when required

Remove waste material from line when required

Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedures whenever required

Maintain all work areas free from obstructions and hazards

Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in own work area and around work units





Perform all work in a secure manner and fully comply with the Safety and Quality (GMP) policies and procedures of the Company

Any other duties as assigned by the Management

What We Need From You

Minimum high school diploma

1 year of work experience in a manufacturing workplace is preferred

Should have mechanical aptitude

Able to lift and move product / parts / boxes when required

Work well under pressure

Good team player

Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Forklift and crane training will be provided
